These substances are routinely incorporated in packaged and processed foods to enhance longevity, maintain quality, and preserve flavor. Notably, individuals with elevated exposure levels to these additives were observed to have a higher incidence of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.

Health experts caution that the presence of these ingredients in food products does not automatically render them dangerous. Instead, the research serves as a reminder of the significance of balanced eating habits. A consistent diet high in processed foods, when coupled with other lifestyle factors, could contribute to increased health risks. Thus, it is crucial to consider the overall dietary pattern and lifestyle choices.
